Mushrooms are not obligated to pay taxes. They all own vast swathes of land on which they build houses. A certain wealthy politically correct individual would fall hand over heels to teach any non unhoused individual the art of tax evasion

This is pretty good, the style is very close to the original. The only thing I really think you could improve is how the characters overlap each other. I get it though, you’re working to fit them on the background.

I definitely see what you mean with the overlapping, i don't think i was being super conscious about it when drawing them. Definitely could look a bit better. Glad you liked it otherwise!
